Dean Raise

Dean Raise is an entrepreneur, music executive, non-profit founder and Grammy-nominated executive producer. Born and raised in South Africa and based in Austin, Texas, Dean has spent his 18-year career managing numerous artists, running a record label and publishing company, executing worldwide marketing and branding campaigns, and producing innovative and immersive live events.

Artist Management

Dean’s firm Raise Management is in partnership with Red Light Management, the largest independent artist management firm in the world. Red Light clients include Dave Matthews Band, Sabrina Carpenter, Phish, The Strokes and Chris Stapleton amongst hundreds. Together with Red Light, Raise Management represents Dean’s longtime clients Rebelution, Durand Jones & The Indications and Aaron Frazer.

Criminal Justice Reform

In 2019, Dean co-founded the Last Prisoner Project which continues to grant clemency, expungement and reentry to nonviolent cannabis prisoners. The organization, including their 14 full time staff and dozens of pro-bono attorney partners, have assisted in the release of over 180 nonviolent cannabis prisoners and donated over $3.5 million to constituents and families for commissary funds, school fees, rent and groceries. The organization has two automatic expungement bills passed in California and Hawaii and received several President Biden and Trump pardons.

Consulting

Connectivity, inspiration and positive growth have led Dean to consult some of the largest companies in the world including Rolex, Pandora and Live Nation.

Live Music Promotion

Dean created and produced the Fool In Love Festival, in partnership with Live Nation in August 2024 at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles. Artists included Lionel Ritchie, Diana Ross, Santana, Smokey Robison, Al Green and dozens of other legendary acts.

Music Publishing

After overseeing and executive producing over 27 albums, Dean formed his Good Bones Music Publishing company and solidified a joint venture with Secretly Group, who’s roster includes Khruangbin, Phoebe Bridgers, Bon Iver, Mitski, Neil Frances amongst others.
